Peculiar Dwarf Star Survived Supernova

Scientists have discovered a peculiar white dwarf star LP 40-365 that somehow has survived a supernova. Namely, scientists believe that a rare type of supernova known as ‘lax’ type may leave remnants after their weak explosion as in this case of the strange white dwarf star.
