Earth Sized Planet Found Orbiting Alpha Centauri

– ” For You To Enjoy And Share With Friends” –

A planet about the mass of the Earth has been found orbiting a star in the Alpha Centauri System, the nearest star system outside our solar system. The planet was detected by picking up the tiny wobbles in the motion of the star Alpha Centauri B created by the gravitational pull of the orbiting planet.

The gravitational effect is so minute that it causes the star to move back and forth by no more than 51 centimetres per second. This is the highest precision ever achieved using this method.
