Multiple Telescopes Help Scientists Discover the Most Distant Galaxy Clusters

In the project known as the “Frontier Fields”, scientists combine using multiple telescopes for long observations to discover more galaxy clusters than we know so far. Using three different telescopes: NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, Hubble Space Telescope, and the NSF’s Jansky Very Large Array, they found the most distant galaxy clusters, MACS J0416, and MACS J0717.
