Working With Curiosity’s Chemcam – 26th October 2012

-” For You To Enjoy And Share With Friends”

Here is the latest update from Curiosity. This week Curiosity delivered its third sample and one analysis has been performed. ChemCam will tell us what the rocks and soil in Curiosity’s vicinty are of interest by rapidly analyzing them to determine their compositions and to identify samples that would be of greatest interest  for analysis by other onboard instruments.

It’s amazing how incredibly sophisticated the instruments carried by the Rover are. Well worth the money spent on this project, which is peanuts compared with the amount spent on arms and wars.
