The Vostochny Cosmodrome

The Vostochny Cosmodrome is a Russian spaceport currently under construction, located at 51 degrees north in the Amur Oblast, in the Russian Far East. It is intended to become the main centre for Russia’s space program as well as reduce dependency on the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which is located in Kazakhstan. Here is a video which examines the plans for the new cosmodrome including simulations. This cosmodrome will in the future be the launchpad for manned flights to the Moon, Mars and beyond.
