Soyuz Joins Booster For Expedition 33/34

At the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, the Soyuz TMA-06M spacecraft was mated to its booster rocket on Oct. 20. Here is great back room footage of the process. The Soyuz spacecraft will launch Expedition 33/34 to the International Space Station on October 23rd. The three man crew consists of Soyuz Commander Oleg Novitskiy, NASA Flight Engineer Kevin Ford and Russian Flight Engineer Evgeny Tarelkin.

Docking to the International Space Station will occur on Oct. 25. The trio will spend five months on the laboratory, joining station Commander Sunita Williams.
