New Image of Colorful Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud

Using the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope, scientists have captured a new image of colorful emission nebula that is located on the edge of our galaxy, in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The light from stars illuminates gas of cosmic dust that emerges from the formation of young stars. The Nebula is about 163,000 light-years away from our planet.
