How Wet Was Ancient Mars?

For scientists, the question about water on planet Mars always represents an enigma. Now, they have evidence that ancient Mars had water, but they still do not know how much. Some speculate that there were oceans, some think that were rivers, and for others, there were just rainfalls. Today, a team of researchers is studying water molecules in the Martian atmosphere, by using infrared space telescopes.
