Since 1979 Stephen Hawking he has held the post of Lucasian Professor at Cambridge, the same chair held by Isaac Newton in 1663. Professor Hawking was awarded the CBE in 1982 and is a fellow of the Royal Society and a Member of the US National Academy of Science. Stephen Hawking is widely seen as one of the most brilliant physicists since Einstein and is the most recognised scientist and disabled person on the planet.
