Curiosity Update – 18th Jan 2013

Here is the latest update from Curiosity. Curiosity has been investigating the Yellowknife Bay area looking for a suitable location for its first drill activity.

High levels of calcium sulphate has been found in cracks. Similar cracks  with calcium sulphate on Earth are a result of water seepage. Hence yet more evidence that water was once prolific on Mars.
