The Center of the Milky Way Is Devoid of Stars

The international team of astronomers has found a stellar void in the center of the Milky Way. Namely, the whole region around the center of the Milky Way, known as the Extreme Inner Disk, that encompasses the area of 8,000 light years around is devoid of young stars.
