Black Holes Outpace Speed of Star Formation

Using data from the Hubble Space Telescope, Chandra X-ray Observatory and other telescopes, scientists have found that black holes in large galaxies outpace the speed of star formation. A new paper is based on two studies that try to calculate the ratio between the growth of black holes and star formation.
