Astronomers Detect an Exoplanet That Might Have a Blue Sky

By using the LCOGT network of telescopes, astronomers have discovered a Neptune-sized exoplanet, which atmosphere has a blue hue. The planet is only 100 light-years distant from the Earth and orbits around a red dwarf star. By using infrared light, scientists have revealed that the atmosphere of GJ 3470b exoplanet is rich in hydrogen with the underlying layer that radiates blue light.
