The Rosetta Probe Detects Giant Sinkholes on Comet 67P

Rosetta spacecraft has taken a new image of the comet 67P/ Churyumov – Gerasimenko that reveals 18 pits in its northern hemisphere. These pits are clustered in a few regions of the comet. Scientists suspect that the sinkholes have been formed as a result of a heat source inside the comet.
