The Interior of Ganymede Contains a Salty Ocean

Scientists have long assumed that the largest Jupiter’s moon, Ganymede, has a liquid water beneath its surface. The new evidence from the Hubble Space Telescope confirmed that Ganymede has a vast ocean, which is 100 kilometers thick and 10 times deeper than the Earth’s oceans.
