The Birth of Young Star in the Chamaeleon Complex

By using the MPG/ ESO 86-inch telescope, astronomers have captured the birth of the young star. Namely, a nebula known as IC 2631 is illuminated by the star HD 97300. It is located in the Chamaeleon Complex that is 500 light-years away from our planet.
