MAVEN Sends “First Light” Images of Mars’ Upper Atmosphere – NASA

After ten months, NASA’a MAVEN spacecraft has reached Mars and starts sending the data about Mars’ atmosphere. It is assumed that billions years ago, Mars had a hospitable atmosphere that could warm Mars and allow water to exist. MAVEN’s mission is to discover what happened to Mars’ atmosphere that turned its surface into wasteland.
