Hurricane Sandy As Seen By The ISS

– “For You To Enjoy And Share With Friends” –

Here is a spectacular view of  Hurricane Sandy as seen by the International Space Station. Sandy has become the largest Atlantic Hurricane in diameter on record, with winds spanning 1,100 miles.  Sandy developed from a tropical depression in the Caribbean on October 22, it quickly strengthened, and was upgraded to a tropical storm hours later. As Sandy slowly moved northward it gradually intensified and has brought havoc to the East coast of the US.

Our hearts go out to those that have lost their lives and also to those that have lost their loved ones to this most destructive of natural phenomena.
