The First Contact of Mercury’s Transit

Today, Mercury is making a transit across the face of our Sun. This rare event that happens 13 times during a century began at 7:12 a.m. ET and will end at 2:42 p.m. ET. The following video shows us the first contact, captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamic Observatory.
