During the First Third of 2016, Hubble Will Spot a Distant Supernova

In November 2014, scientists detected a supernova by using gravitational lensing effect that enables them to see a so-called Einstein Cross, produced by the supernova’s light. They hope that will be able to spot a distant supernova by using the same technique, which will occur at the beginning of 2016.
