Betelgeuse, the Brilliant Star Once, the Supernova Soon

Betelgeuse is the one of the brightest stars in our night sky. It is about 430 light years away from Earth. Betelgeuse is a vast, extremely brilliant star which belongs to super giant stars. Because of these, it is expected to explode soon, speaking in astronomical terms i.e. within a million years. Betelgeuse requires the huge amount of energy, because it grows quickly and was nearing the end of its life. When it has exhausted its fuel, it will explode into a spectacular supernova.
