A Black Hole Eating A Star

– “For You To Enjoy And Share With Friends” –

Black holes can’t be seen but we know they are there due to the disturbances that occur in an area of space that must imply the presence of a black hole. The point of no return is called the Event Horizon. At this point the escape speed is the same as the speed of light. Here we see a star that has gone past the point of no return and is slowly being devoured by the black hole.

If our Sun was replaced by a black hole that had the same mass as the Sun. The radius of the Event Horizon can be calculated at around 3km, compared with the Sun’s radius of 700,000km. For the Earth to be sucked in, it would have to get very very very close to the black hole.
